GEC Open 2018 engages top corporates in Turkey

Istanbul, Turkey| September 2, 2018

The Turkey qualifying leg of GEC Open, in association with OMA Emirates global amateur series was held at Kemer Golf & Country Club. Turkey is an annual stop on the GEC Open golf tour, and the Kemer Golf & Country Club of the Demiroren Group of Companies hosted the 4th consecutive edition of the global event in the region.

The competition was played at the 18-hole championship golf course designed by Joan Dudok van Heel in Stableford format with winners announced in Gross and Nett categories.

After a day of grueling and competitive golf, the best gross score belonged to Beyhan Goldman Benardete. She scored 39 strokes on the front-nine holes while managing 41 strokes on the final nine holes for a gross total of 80. She was playing off a three handicap.

The best Nett score was recorded by Selen Neidl playing off a handicap 46.  She scored 52 and 58 strokes on the front-nine and back-nine respectively. Her winning score was 45 points.

Both winners have also qualified for the GEC Open World Final – Dubai Corporate Golf World Cup.
