GEC Open debut in Pakistan

Over a 130 players featured in the inaugural edition of GEC Open Pakistan Golf Tournament 2019 at the Defence Authority Country and Golf Club.

Corporate players from all over Pakistan registered to participate in the biggest corporate golf team event of the country organized in association with Loco Services, a license holder of three International corporate golf series, putting efforts towards the promotion of corporate golf in Pakistan.

Played in a stableford format with ¾ handicap allowance, Syed Raza Ali and Umair Khizar returned the best scores of the tournament and became the first two players to qualify for the World Final in Dubai from Pakistan.

Wing Commander (retd) I N Khokhar (Chairman GEC Open Pakistan) commented: “Pakistan’s corporate golfers have a lot of potential and we have seen Pakistani players securing top positions in corporate golf events in past few years. GEC Open 2018 is poised to host 54 qualifying rounds in 34 countries making it one of the biggest corporate golf tournament all around the world.
