Industry leaders and top corporates battle it out in Botswana

GEC Open, in association with OMA Emirates returned to the African country of Botswana yet again for GEC Open national qualifier. The Phakalane Golf Resort hosts the qualifier each year amongst 100+ avid corporate golfers representing a wide array of industries that contribute massively to the Botswana economy.

Braving tough conditions, Tumelo Selikane carded 41 Stableford points in the Men’s division edging Meempat Shankar by just one point. Selikane played off an eight handicap. In the Women’s division, Paakanyo Moseki finished on the top of the leaderboard with a total score of 31 points playing off a 19 handicap.

The world finalists enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete under national colors and ply their craft at two world-class venues – Jumeirah Golf Estates and Emirates Golf Club.
