Industry stakeholders compete on the green at GEC Open Azerbaijan  

The city of Baku played host to the GEC Open, in association with OMA Emirates Azerbaijan qualifier where successive third edition was held at Dreamland Golf Club. The event was held in collaboration with the prestigious Azerbaijan Open- an annual fixture on the Azerbaijani amateur golfing calendar.

The tournament was played in stableford format in three handicap categories: 0-12.5, 12.6 -19.8 and 19.9 – 28.0 amongst the crème-de-la- crème of amateur golf fraternity in Azerbaijan. Over 120 industry big-wigs came together for a competitive yet fun filled round of golf complemented with networking lunches and gala dinner.

In the first division, Bruce Munro Ferguson grabbed the top spot with 39 points while the second division belonged to Khalil Huseynov who edged out competition from three other players tied at the total of 41 points. Khalil won the division on the back nine count back. In the third division, Greg Unumb topped the leaderboard with 38 total points.
